Learning will be self-directed, flexible and supported by University Lecturers and employers and offers the opportunity to convert military management experience into a post graduate qualification.

Completion of the Extended Diploma level provides access into the final dissertation year of the Plymouth University, Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). The Curriculum Director will be involved in the process along with the Student when registering his/her application to undertake the MBA.

Edexcel Advanced Professional Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership

The BTEC Level 7 programme in Strategic Management & Leadership leads directly to the dissertation year of an MBA with one of the partnering Universities.

This post-graduate programme of study will benefit both current and future leaders with its flexible design, a delivery system which incorporates distance learning and workshops and work-based assessment. For ease of access, the qualification has been sub-divided into 4 "stand alone" sections >> full details Level 7 program.

  • Award (1 mandatory unit).
  • Certificate (1 mandatory + optional units to gain a minimum of 20 credits).
  • Diploma (3 mandatory + optional units to gain a minimum of 60 credits).
  • Extended Diploma (3 mandatory units + optional units to gain a minimum of 120 credits)
  • The extended diploma provides a pathway for those learners wishing to progress to an MBA or other Masters degree.
